The Bengals are going to lose this PR battle HUGE. Even worse than Whitworth or Palmer. They just dont learn.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

Exactly. It's not about who's right or who's wrong at this point. It's about the distraction this dispute is going to cause throughout training camp and possibly into the start of the season.stripesincarolina wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 7:14 amThe Bengals are going to lose this PR battle HUGE. This should have been dealt with, one way or another, before the draft. Instead, it's going to linger on till September or beyond. Trade him for another defensive player and a mid-round pick in next year's draft. Minimize the damage and suck it up and move on.

I do not blame the Bengals here. Trey signed his extension and he needs to accept that. He wants to have security for this family, I'm sure 17 million dollars should be more than enough to secure his family. Get over yourself Trey!Bengals1 wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 2:15 pmJay Morrison @ByJayMorrison
Asked by Paul Dehner Jr if he envisions any scenario where he plays this year in his current deal, Trey Hendrickson said “no”
Trey Hendrickson said there are unprovoked shark attacks and provoked ones.
He said his statement yesterday and the session today were "provoked" by Katie Blackburn's comments at the owners' meetings and Zac Taylor's text informing him he would be fined for skipping minicamp.
Hendrickson also said he has no issue with Ja'Marr and Tee getting their deals before him.
"I love those guys. I want every player on this team to get their value. They have the best quarterback on the planet to spin the ball, so I'd prioritize receivers myself. It is almost like building a fantasy dynasty."
Paul Dehner Jr. @pauldehnerjr
Trey Hendrickson just spent 25 minutes with us and had a lot to say and didn’t hold back. The word “disappointed” was used often.
Said his statements have been “provoked.”
Asked explicitly if he will play on the current deal: “No.”
Stay tuned, much more to come.

I agree with you, he signed a contract (and was quite happy to do so) and he should live up to it.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 12:38 pmI do not blame the Bengals here. Like I said in an earlier post, it's no longer about who's right and who's wrong, it's about how the Bengals are handling the situation.
Which is poorly, and it's going to cause problems down the line. You watch.

The Bengals gave him the okay to seek out a trade and apparently didn't get that much interest. Teams are not exactly beating down the door for and old DE that even though he is great rushing the QB kind of sucks in run defense.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 7:06 pmThen trade him. From what I read from various sports writers, the Bengals received several offers but their asking price was too high.
Some even characterized it as "ridiculously high."

I never heard what exactly, the Bengals were asking for.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 10:13 pmHeaven forbid they actually try to get something from the NFL sack leader last season.![]()
But if indeed it was ridiculous, then you have to wonder if they were ever really serious about dealing him anyway.
Trey and his agent may have come to the same conclusion which would just add to their sh*tty attitude towards the team.
