WLWT’s Charlie Clifford is reporting that quarterback Sean Clifford, cornerback Bralyn Lux, and safety Russ Yeast are joining the Bengals practice squad. All three players were waived on Sunday during final cuts.

In order to make room for OT Myles Hinton, the Bengals released veteran TE Tanner Hudson today.
I don't think this is a bad move, we have to see what our Young TE Endries can do! He showed a lot of promise in the pre-season.

To be clear, Myles Hinton is not the solution at swing tackle. At least not in the short term. Plucking somebody who just got cut at that position was never going to properly check that box. A real answer would involve landing a veteran. This is a dart throw on development.

I'm not going to disagree (much). I just hate to lose a sure thing in terms of gametime reliability and a trusted target (and blocker) for an up and comer. Not this year. Just give me stability.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

According to Adam Schefter, the Bengals have re-signed QB Josh Johnson to the practice squad. This gives them four quarterbacks on the roster now between Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco on the 53 and Johnson and Sean Clifford on the practice squad. Johnson, 39, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2012.
