A little surprised here. Especially at the timing. I don't disagree with it though. They had already slotted him in at Guard instead of Tackle. They need to find somebody for depth at the Tackle position immediately. I'm not giving up on Orlando Brown yet but that doesn't mean I feel great about him going into the season.

I think the Bengals believe they have the bodies behind Brown. I think Rivers has been playing pretty well. I think this was a good move if they didn't think he was going to be a part of the team, giving him time to find a new home, unlike what they did with Andy Dalton. We have a lot of up and coming young linemen, it will be interesting to see what happens.
