I wonder if there was some deal in place with Duke and the front office. Like ... Ok let us trade for dexter.... And give us the 2nd rounder..... And then you can show u what you got with the 3rd rounder.

Do you think this front office would be in on McCoy if he fell to us in the 4th?

Catching up after a travel day, but WTF are we doing?? Does this team even think about LBs anymore or have we simply conceded about 20 point per game to crossing routes and missed tackles in the running game?!? I hope to God they have a read on a solid FA LB or we will live to regret this draft.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

This. I for the life of me can't understand why they seem to be planning on going into next season with the worst two starting LB in the NFL. I think Knight could be okay if paired with and experienced quality LB. But he is 26 so not sure how much better he can get at this point.stripesincarolina wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 12:15 amCatching up after a travel day, but WTF are we doing?? Paul Dehner Jr. @pauldehnerjr
A common thread on Day 2 between edge Cashius Howell and CB Tacario Davis is the #Bengals defense hunting player types they are missing.
Howell brings the smaller, explosive, bendy edge in a DPR+ role. Shades of Mafe, but nobody on the roster like him.
Few CBs in NFL with Davis' length. They were targeting length to add behind Hill-Turner. Can match against tight ends in passing situations, too, as Tre Flowers did a few years back, and DJ Ivey in recent years.

It's simple fella's, they believe that both these LB's will be fine as long as they have a DL in front of them. I will admit that it's a solid plan, great DL's change the game like no other position. I doubt they draft an LB unless it's a 6th or 7th.4256 Hits wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 7:19 amThis. Agree with meat. They’re literally banking everything on the DL to solve their LB problem. Hopefully they sign a vet or
We’re in trouble
And don’t get me started on our inability to develop 3rd rounders. Can I go ahead and name Davis for us? Toastcarrio it is…

For today I’d love to see McCoy in round 5, or our next center. Our OL depth suuucks so hopefully we get some depth on the line

I found this on another site this morning so take it for whatever you wish but he sounds like he knows what he's talking about...skycruiser wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 11:19 amFor today I’d love to see McCoy in round 5, or our next center. Yeah it's technically not a thing as they are two separate connective tissues.
Sometimes some people refer to bone cartilage and they really mean "articular cartilage" which is essentially cartilage that creates the joint capsule between two articulating bones. Source: I'm a DPT
Edit: I did a deep dive on the exact specifics of his injury and situation and even got imaging results somehow. I honestly wouldn't even draft him either. They found a ton of necrotic tissue and where his issue is there is very low blood supply and even "if" he has a bounce back season I don't foresee him being the same player. It's really a shame because most ACL injuries don't cascade into this.

We don't have a 5th round pick. We traded it for Flacco.skycruiser wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 11:19 amFor today I’d love to see McCoy in round 5, or our next center. Our OL depth suuucks so hopefully we get some depth on the line
