100%, giving up a 10th for Max Crosby just makes no sense to me. Giving up a 2nd or a 3rd and a later round pick sure but not our 1st.4256 Hits wrote: ↑Tue Feb 17, 2026 6:58 pmThe Max Crosby with zero play-off wins. Just like TJ Watt, Micah Parsons and Miles Garrett. Trey's best seasons were 23,24 he had with the Bengals they didn't make the play-offs.
I know there are a ton of other factors but 4 of the best sack guys have never won a play-off games make you wonder is that where big money should be spent.

Isn’t he over 30? Pass.
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
He is 28 and has two years on his contract before he can opt out.

Myles Garrett does have a playoff win. Cleveland beat Pittsburgh in 2020. None of those guys played with a world class offense on the other side of the ball. Listen, if I could choose who is going to be available at ten, I would take a rookie Caleb Downs over trading for Maxx Crosby. My worry is that everyone in the draft knows what a fit Downs is for the Bengals. So may other teams are willing to do the things the Bengals are not willing to do. I can very easily see Downs on the board at 8 or 9 and someone calling up and offering a trade to grab him before we get to pick.

I see a guy like Rueben Bain as well being a target. Where we could get him instead of a 28 year of Crosby with the 10th.Jmble wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 8:53 amMyles Garrett does have a playoff win. From Twitter
I would absolutely not do this.The Raiders want at least two 1st-round picks and a premium player in any potential Maxx Crosby trade package, per
@AdamSchefter
.
Las Vegas hopes not to move Crosby, but, if he asks out, they could envision a similar deal the Cowboys received from the Packers for Micah Parsons.

Thanks I forgot about that one Brown's win. Ironically, he has had more sacks every year since that year.Jmble wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 8:53 amMyles Garrett does have a playoff win. I will take my chances with whomever they get at 10 over the 30 million cap hit that comes with Crosby. But LV are ridden him extremely hard by literally playing him every single down when he isn't hurt so that make him an old 29-year-old DE. 2023 stats say his snaps played were 103.45% of defensive snaps. So get ST and O snaps also. Last year even missing 2 games played in 94.16% of snaps and missed 5 games in 2024.

Who’s a mid tier underperforming DE that’s under 27 to pair with our other 2 mid tier underperforming DEs under 27?
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
Jaelan Phillips could be what you are looking for even though listed as a LB he is size of a DE.skycruiser wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 7:46 pmWho’s a mid tier underperforming DE that’s under 27 to pair with our other 2 mid tier underperforming DEs under 27?
Or bring a guy like Dre'Mont Jones on a one-year contract.
Overall spending the money on a DT, LB and S will do more to help the D.
