Here's the thing: Every chance you have to get into the playoffs with someone like Joe Burrow at quarterback is gold. And so if Joe Flacco gives Cincinnati a shot to sneak into a depleted AFC bracket with Burrow back in the saddle, then the price here is steal.

I don't think anyone would disagree with this here. The question is will he be better than Browning? Can't be that much worse.

I just find the situation funny.

Look, if he comes in here and wins some games and keeps us in the hunt till Joe Fragile gets back, it was worth it.

They had to try something. They couldn't just let the season be lost. There was already obvious fan revolt.

This is a rather harmless attempt to salvage the season. My only true concern is that he wins us just enough games to ruin our chances of a top 5 pick in next year's draft, but not enough to keep us in contention.

That would be typical Bengals luck.

i know he hasnt played a ton better than browning.... but he also didnt have chase and higgins...

my hope is that with his experience he'll be able to get the ball out quickly and accurately without getting happy feet.

The Bengals had somebody drive Flacco and his wife down last night and Zac Taylor said he spent much of the time talking through the offense with him on the phone.

I haven't been able to confirm this but there is a video out there stating Flacco has an underlying injury and that's why he was traded. I wonder if anyone else has seen this report?

I can find nothing on any current injuries he might have.
