I believe that was Wilson and the stats show Wilson with 2 and none for Stewart.
I listened on the radio. The Bengals announcer said Stewart had two but one was negated due to a penalty.
Ive looked on every site I can think of. I cant find where Stewart played at all today and if he did he registered zilch. So him and Murphy today had a total of 1 tackle. Nice
Sometimes you have to look deeper than stats. I hear Stewarts name a few times out of Laps mouth. If he's saying stuff there's got to be something behind it.

Also a win is a win, and it's in week 1 of all weeks. I'll take it and be happy. Sure we have a lot to work on but when we're hot later in the season this win will be huge!

Adam Carter @impactfbdata
Bengals rookie Shemar Stewart (EDGE2/Tier 1/Bluechip) credited with 3 pressures and a 17.4% pass rush win rate today by PFFs initial grading.. going to be a good addition to the Bengals Dline.

arne (1-0🐅) @tschermi05
Rookie Watch: Shemar Stewart had 3 pressures and TPS win rate of 18.2% per PPFs initial charting.

Jaron May @jaron_may
"It was not too big for any of them. That's why they're all here because they're all built like that."

Zac Taylor says the rookies impressed him today. Shemar Stewart, Demetrius Knight, Dylan Fairchild, and Barrett Carter all saw significant playing time.

Yanni Tragellis @yannitragellis
Shemar Stewart’s first impact play, a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage, but it’s negated by an illegal contact by Oren Burks.

From ESPN Research: The Browns held the Bengals to 7 yards in the second half. It's the fewest yds in the second half by a winning team in the last 25 years.

A win is a win, just ask Baltimore how they feel right now!

If you go back and look i said I'll take all thr luck i can get. The ball finally bounced our way and I'm happy. I just think for this team to truly compete we need more from our 2 first round edges. If they come into it then it'll be great. But my hopes on Stewart, I basically gave up on Murphy. This his 3rd year ans can't hardly break 2nd string.
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

They told us Shamar Stewart makes an impact despite not having many stats in college.

What happened week one? 35 defensive snaps. Didn't even show up in the box score. But he was in the backfield at least three times, had one pass deflection, despite it being negated, and was involved in another play that was deflected.

I'm feeling a lot better about him. He's still a rookie and needs to develop, but I hated this draft pick when it happened. Hopefully I and many others will be proven wrong.

Yeah. I have a lot of hope for Stewart. I can see him being a good pick.

I didn't like the pick either but if he can somehow help turn the defense into a top 15 squad then it'll work.

Andrew Russell @Andrew_Russell7
Shemar Stewart in Week 1 vs the Browns:

26.1% pass rush win rate (2nd best among rookie DL)
3 QB hurries
41.7% positively graded play rate vs the run

He played disciplined, sound football and his PFF grade (83.2) was 3rd-best on the defensive side.

Bottom line is that there is a lot to be optimistic about right now.

1. We know the offense isn't going to play like that all year. They may not reach last year's historic numbers, but they are going to get their points. At this point under Zac Taylor, It's pretty much what we would expect in a first game of the season.

2. The defense played better than we thought they would. The run defense overall was phenomenal. The rookies looked very good. The pass rush showed up at times when we needed them to. I really don't think they blitzed all that much during the game. They seemed to go back in coverage quite a bit.

3. Special teams looked decent. I really like Charlie Jones returning the kicks. He is going to take one to the endzone one of these times. McPherson didn't look at all bothered his inconsistency last year, though he wasn't challenged too much.

4. We got a win, on the road, against a division opponent who has constantly given us trouble.

Having said all of that, we have got to find a way to stop those short passes. It seems like almost every time Flacco got off a short pass, there was nobody even around the guy who caught the ball. Those plays add up. It doesn't do you any good to take away the deep balls if you are going to let them complete three to four straight short passes.
