Why CBT look like ass now? You know its bad when someone like Flacco picks on him all game.
He looked like ass all last season… if he weren’t two steps behind on every crossing route we’d have won easily.

With Zack being 1-5 in week 1 and 1-5 in Cleveland, I’ll take an ugly win.

Plenty we should have one last year and lost because of a fluke mistake. Ok to win one.

I believe that was Wilson and the stats show Wilson with 2 and none for Stewart.

I listened on the radio. The Bengals announcer said Stewart had two but one was negated due to a penalty.

Jay Morrison @ByJayMorrison
The #Bengals had -18 yards in the fourth quarter.
That's the fewest by any team since at least 1991.

The fewest before today?
The 2017 Bengals with -17

Jeremy Rauch @FOX19Jeremy
#Bengals offensive production in week one each of the last three seasons.

2025: 149 yards - 17 points (W @ CLE)
2024: 224 yards - 10 points (L vs. NE)
2023: 142 yards - 3 points (L @ CLE)

More preseason play, morning camp, etc, it all looks just about the same in week one.

In other words, the Bengals played just as badly today as the always do on opening day. They just got lucky and happened to play a team that was a little worse.

I’ll also add a reminder, the Browns may be worse but they’ve had our number. Zack was 1-5 on Cleveland. Garrett has owned us, and their CBs do better than anyone else at taking away Chase.

They need to step up as they always do this time of year, but I’m thankful to get the win.

From pff:

Risner surrendered just one pressure — a hurry on that three-sack series — across 24 pass-blocking snaps. Only once did a Bengals guard earn an 80.0-plus PFF pass-blocking grade in a game last season. In one game this season, Risner has matched that (80.5), pending reviews. Cincinnati’s run blocking left much to be desired, which will likely tank Risner’s PFF overall grade, but his ability to protect elite quarterback Joe Burrow was already apparent in Week 1.

From cbs sports:

This marked the first time in 55 years that the Bengals were able to win a game where they were held under 150 yards.

Damn, 1970. Stripes was just learning to shave...

I’m with ace on this one. Week 1 in Cleveland on the road just come out healthy and with the W. 2 huge monkeys off our back regardless of how crappy it looked

Ive looked on every site I can think of. I cant find where Stewart played at all today and if he did he registered zilch. So him and Murphy today had a total of 1 tackle. Nice
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.
