Taylor-Britt showed versatility in 2019, starting seven games at safety and three at corner (49 tackles, three for loss with 1.5 sacks, three interceptions, one returned for a TD, three pass breakups) and tying for fourth in the FBS with four forced fumbles. He was a second-team All-Big Ten selection in 2020, starting seven of eight games played at cornerback (28 tackles, three for loss, two interceptions, four pass breakups), leading the Huskers with six passes defensed. Taylor-Britt repeated that honor in 2021, pacing his squad with 11 pass breakups to go along with 51 tackles, three for loss with one sack, one interception and a blocked kick in 12 starts. -- by Chad Reuter

Draft Grade: B
Pre-Draft Rank: 65
School: Nebraska
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 197

Eric Edholm's Commentary
The Bengals traded up (a rarity!) to take one of our favorite DBs on Day 2. Taylor-Britt has played safety before but has spent more time at corner. He has limitations with handling elite speed and quickness but has a strong frame and is a great all-around athlete with a competitive streak.

PFF had him as the number 8 CB and 57 overall.

Fills a need. Nice to see them go up and grab the guy they want for a change.

No complaints.

Solid. Like it

Pre-Draft Analysis
Taylor-Britt has experience starting at cornerback, safety and nickel. He has outstanding top-end speed, is explosive breaking on passes in front of him and recovers well when he gets caught out of position. He has big hands, can pluck the ball out of the air and is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He has good stopping power, and his effort chasing the run is solid. -- Steve Muench

The Bengals have added a ton of athleticism and speed to their secondary with Dax Hill and Cam Taylor-Britt

A sixth round pick.
Not bad really. Gonna be able to get a value in an undrafted player to fill that missed pick. One that's not going to get a guaranteed signing bonus.

What is everyone's thoughts on Malik Willis QB Liberty?

Some "experts" thought he was top QB in draft. Do the Bengals think of drafting him here in 3rd round? Could be a cheap back-up for next 4 years or turn into trade bait if develops like some think he will. With big contracts coming going to need to cut some dollars else where to keep those players.
