Baker Mayfield just told ESPN: “It’s in the mutual interest of both sides for us to move on. The relationship is too far fine to mend. It’s in the best interests of both sides to move on

Oh good God.....

On Wednesday, PETA said in a news release the NFL should change the name of the "horse-collar tackle" penalty which the animal-rights organization said "makes light of using tight harnesses to exploit horses for labor."

PETA said the league should change the name of the penalty to the "Goodell Grab," "back-collar tackle" or the "Roy Williams tackle." Williams was a fearsome Dallas Cowboys defensive back whose play prompted NFL owners to ban the horse-collar tackle. The banishment was originally called the "Roy Williams Rule.

Damn, Packers just traded Davante Adams to the Raiders. That has to sting bad for Rodgers. That guy was nearly uncoverable last year.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

Seahawks releasing Carlos Dunlap. Now 33 years old, I suppose he could retire but knowing he had a team high 8.5 sacks last year he may still have a year or two in the tank for somebody's rotation, not suggesting ours.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford is signing a 4-year, $160 million extension that'll run through 2026 (Stafford turns 38 in February '26), per source. So he's now tied to LA for the next 5 years at a total of $183 million.

Stafford wanted a fair deal, but one that would help the team
