Has got to be not much chance he could be worse.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 8:32 pmI don't know too much about him other than he was a starting OLB for the Arizona Cardinals.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 6:27 pmInteresting take, trading for Chandler Jones.

But it's a fair bet he's probably better than anyone we currently have playing that position.![]()

Its just an opinion piece and not a real trade rumor. And as much as would love a quality LB/DE, CJ doesnt strike me as the solution we should be throwing draft picks at. 30 years old and an injury or two. If we are dishing picks then keep me around 26-27 and no injury history so we can sign them on a 3 year deal. I'm sick and tired of these one year stop gaps at LB.
Edit - after diving into this deeper, he requested a trade a couple of days ago which could make him a little cheaper in terms of picks. I dont know how much noise he is willing to make to get the trade, but I still dont want to give up a 2 or 3 for an aging vet, even if he might be a HoFer.

You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

I'm sorry I should have clarified it was a opinion piece and not an actual rumor, I just wanted to generate some discussion. Personally I think this guy is more in the mold of a Lawson type and that specialist that would help in Pass Rush, which I think we are going to desperately need.stripesincarolina wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 9:59 pmIts just an opinion piece and not a real trade rumor. Former All-Pro edge rusher Justin Houston reached agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $4 million with the Baltimore Ravens, per sources. Houston turned down significantly more money from other teams in order to pursue a championship with the Ravens, per source.
Houston isn't what he once was, but he can still contribute. Another pass rusher the #Bengals will have to account for in AFCN games. The division is LOADED with them.

I know it’s just 7 on 7, but AJ Green looks incredible out there at @AZCardinals practice.

AJ Green suffered from the “Bengals flu” the last few years. He’s gonna have a monster season in Arizona.

Josh Allen has just signed a new contract with the Bills. Full details:
6 years, $258M in new money with $150 in total guarantees and $100M fully guaranteed upon signing (both the highest ever).
This is the kind of money Burrow will likely command if he turns out as good as we all hope....

Always good to see an AFC handcuffed with a large contract for the QB. Now Bengals have to get better to take advantage of it.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 1:39 pmIan Rapoport (@RapSheet)

Margus Hunt is a decent specialty player. If you have the defense around him to support using him in the right situations, he's not a bad guy to have on your team. Even if you just line him up to try to block kicks, he's going to help you out. If you are counting on him to be an every day starter on the Defensive Line, you're scraping the bottom of the barrel.
