NCAA exploring spring football season.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

Until I see proof that Zac Taylor can be a good coach I have to go under.

there's no way these greedy owners will not have football on TV
will stadiums be empty? probably
will stadiums be empty? probably
Re: Expectations for 2020 Season
I don't think games will be played in empty stadiums. By the time September rolls around, I believe this Covid19 nightmare will be behind us. I would expect the league to delay games until October rather than play in empty stadiums. No owner is going to forego potential revenue.skycruiser wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 9:11 amthere's no way these greedy owners will not have football on TV

The more I'm seeing and the more they are figuring out with this virus the more it looks like we'll be back to normal here very soon. The numbers that are being recorded are not accurate, the CDC has even admitted to some of the numbers being incorrect. The link below is right from the CDC's website, notice the numbers of actual covid deaths verses all deaths lumped in. Also Dr's have admitted to being pressured into writing covid on the death certificate so they don't get sued. Football will more then likely go on as usual this fall thank the Lord.Deadcat wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 12:07 pmI don't think games will be played in empty stadiums. Re: Expectations for 2020 Season
There's a lot of time between now and then, so it's definitely possible that we'll be "back to normal," but I wouldn't be surprised if they're playing but with empty stadiums. Especially with the concern that we could have a flare up in the fall. As I've heard it, most of the money is in the TV deals, so they might well play "better safe than sorry" and hold off on full stadiums to make sure they are able to play the season and collect their checks from the networks.

From what I have seen empty stadiums would not be that unusual for the Bengals so should be a big advantage

Bengals fans wouldn't be outnumbered at home when playing against Shitsburg! Gotta look at the positivesJoe the Sot wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 4:14 pmFrom what I have seen empty stadiums would not be that unusual for the Bengals so should be a big advantage![]()

Re: Expectations for 2020 Season
I'm still sticking with season cancelled. The logistics of it all make no sense. Are you going to quarantine players and coaches for 6 months alone? Or drag their families into quarantine? What about school? What about production and security folks? And their families? What about refs.....and their families? The ask is simply too big to where they can play a 19 week season and guarantee no new cases of Covid.
Busses, planes, hotels, meals, electronics equipment and on and on would have to be cleaned constantly. Every team would have to hire sanitation experts. Have you seen the kitchens that are required just to feed these guys?
Its just an insurmountable hill folks given the trends and hot spots that we continue to see around the country. I'm crossing my fingers I am wrong. But they would have to accept a significant level of risk to make this work.

You’re living in today’s world Stripes. We are talking about four months from now. We have no idea what the world will be like in four months. A lot is going to happen in four months. One of those things is likely to be mass testing. With the ability to test everyone, it will be a very different environment.
If it’s not a different environment by September, then everything’s pretty much fucked anyway.
