Re: Rounds 4-7 Thread
Let’s track the ravens taking queen from LSU and Harrison from Ohio State in compare that against how our two linebackers grade out over time. Or not.
Re: Rounds 4-7 Thread
Let me be clear, I'm not upset the Bengals are taking these particular players. They're stuck picking from what's left in the draft and at least they're trying to address an obvious weak spot instead of ignoring it.
I understand that.
It's you bugwits acting like they've just drafted the next Lawrence Taylor with each mid-round small school longshot I'm referring to.
Temper your hopes and dreams with some reality and history guys. Then, in 4 years when half these guys are not resigned you won't be on here saying...."Wow, I really thought that fourth round linebacker out of Appalachian State was going to lead us to a Super Bowl..."

Good idea. I can't see Harrison being any better than Evans, the Ilb we took from Oklahoma a few years ago. Actually they remind me alot of eachother.skycruiser wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:51 pmLet’s track the ravens taking queen from LSU and Harrison from Ohio State in compare that against how our two linebackers grade out over time. Queen will be good though.

Well I'm excited non the less to see how these guys do, and I'm optimistic that they will be pretty good because they have more to prove. Hate on them all you want but they are our guys now and our staff has to coach them up!Bengals1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:53 pmLet me be clear, I'm not upset the Bengals are taking these particular players. No one's saying that. Just getting excited about a potential improvement at a need position. It's what the draft is all about. Kind of like Christmas. Deep down you know there's going to be family drama and your gifts will be disappointing, yet you still get excited for it.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:53 pmLet me be clear, I'm not upset the Bengals are taking these particular players. That's actually a reasonable and thought out answer. But go back and re-read some of the posts from when these guys were just selected and tell me you don't see an almost giddy reaction in many of them....Mag wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 1:04 pmNo one's saying that. What do you not get about being excited because the consensus is we got the "best of the rest", or supported a need with a solid player? There's only one person going out of their way here. #eyerollking
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

Remember Nick Vigil....?stripesincarolina wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 1:13 pmWhat do you not get about being excited because the consensus is we got the "best of the rest", or supported a need with a solid player? There's only one person going out of their way here. #eyerollking
Remember Andrew Billings...?
Vigil was another small school wonder who we took in the 3rd round because he fit a need and nobody better was available. Where's your buddy Nick now?
I distinctly remember asking why Billings was still sitting there in the 4th round and someone like Mag or Meathead replied, "He has a bad rep for being a one dimensional space eater who can't rush the passer."
Well guess what Pilgrim, he turned out to be a one dimensional gap filler who couldn't rush the passer. Where's Billings now? Hint: he's not with the team that drafted him in the 4th.
So yeah, keep jerk'n yer gerkins over these mid round longshots if you want. I'll take a much sounder wait and see approach.
Wait for it.....
Wait for it....
There it is....!
