Agree, but think they'll do defense end. Been some talk about that in second

Listening to Mo on 1530am he said Jones has had 4 different oline coaches in 4 years ans he still improving. This kid may be the one. The more I read and hear the more I like him. He may be our next sugar tits

But seriously, I just don't want to see us take a luxury pick like Ross worse yet, trade back and THEN take a luxury pick. :x

If it helps Burrow then I'm all for it. I'm just afraid we'll take a safety that we have no need for right now or a cb which we signed plenty off.

Or worse case scenerio, with the 33rd pick the bengals have selected......

And everyone is like who? Where he ranked? Who he played for? Where is he on all the mocks and draft boards. Thats what I'm scared of.

Not that they hold any water here, but ESPN has updated their second round Mock to have the Bengals taking Tree Higgins at 33.

I guess I would be fine with that given the uncertainties surrounding AJ Green and any weapons will only help Burrow. I'd still rather go with Jones though.

If you take Jones here you are left with table scraps at LB and WR without a significant move up either into Rd2 or early Rd 3 if you're lucky. Our offense isnt that bad with all the weapons coming back and the assumption that Jonah is the real deal. We have GAPING holes at LB still to be filled. I take the LB and then focus on how to trade back up for the BPA OL or WR. Could be the best first 3 rounds in a while if played right.

Edit - if we dont solve the LB problem this year I will officially name our defense the "2nd and 2 Crew".
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

The highest rated linebackers left according to Pro Football Focus are:

39 overall Willie Gay Jr
59 overall Troy Dye
67 overall Akeem Davis-Gaither
102 overall Malik Harrison

I don't disagree Stripes. And if they take Gay or some other linebacker at 33 I can live with that.

But keep in mind there will be a suplemental draft and lots of late camp cuts in August.

There's more than one way to skin a deadcat.... ;)
