Lol. I'm just in disbelief...we'll. Maybe i shouldn't be in disbelief that the Bengals have found a way to screw up a first round pick with a salary cap implemented. Wow wow wow. T
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

You can't break precedent and steadfastly stick
to it without a concession elsewhere. Especially
when you have the reputation they do (and what's
going on with Trey etc etc).Zero benefit of doubt,
so when all you hear is they're breaking their own
precedent just because other teams do it, who cares.
Its not standard for them and the player is right to
say no I'm not the one where it's going to start.
Will the 49ers Trade for Bengals Rookie Shemar Stewart?

The Bengals and Trey Hendrickson have resumed contract talks, and it might be their last shot to avoid a full-blown holdout.
After months of silence between the two sides, there’s finally some optimism that Hendrickson’s future in Cincinnati isn’t over just yet. According to ESPN’s
@jfowlerespn
, conversations have picked back up after a tense standoff that included a trade request and Hendrickson skipping the entire offseason program, including last week’s mandatory minicamp, costing the All-Pro $100,000 in fines.
Hendrickson, who led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024 and has 43 total over the last three seasons, has made it clear he won’t play under his current deal. He’s entering the final year of a contract that’s set to pay him $16 million this season. The Bengals reportedly offered a new deal worth around $28 million per year, but that hasn’t gotten the job done.
The number being floated now? Over $30 million annually, a figure that would place him among the league’s top five highest-paid edge rushers.
Fowler added that Hendrickson is seriously considering sitting out the entire 2025 season if the Bengals don’t meet his asking price. While nothing is finalized yet, the pressure is mounting on Cincinnati to decide if they’re willing to reset the edge rusher market to keep their best defensive player happy, or risk starting the season without him.

Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
Don't see him sitting out a year as he would then still be under contract with the Bengals for 2026. I just don't see any team giving him the money he is asking for at his age. The Bengals sure can't afford 30 million on the IR list or 30 million of dead cap space.

30 million a year? He'd be stupid not to at this point.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 2:49 pmNFLPreme @premefootball
