Zac Taylor fielded multiple questions about why he was comfortable with the off-field issues that Colbie Young experienced at Georgia and made strong statements supporting their vetting and Young's character.
A repeated talking point was the UGA returned Young to play after the suspension and battery/assault charges.
Taylor on why he was comfortable with the character on WR Colbie Young:
"Talking to all the humans we talked to that really stood on the table for him and Georgia returned him to play. Georgia went through the whole process, returned him to play. We just felt really comfortable with the person we are adding to our locker room, the person we are adding to our community, just all of us getting to know the kid. We feel really, really comfortable with bringing Colbie in here and I think once you all get to know him you will see the same thing we see."
"We have a lot of people that have done a lot of research on him. We feel really good about all the information we got and if we didn’t feel comfortable we wouldn’t have done it. We are comfortable with the process he’s gone through."
Taylor on any lessons learned during over the year in vetting off-field issues:
"There’s been times I’ve signed up for great risk in the past. I’ve put my hand up when maybe there are some of those red flags up there. This is one that I feel great about because you go through the process of the last seven years, guys I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with once we got them in here and guys I wanted and sometimes it’s more difficult than others. This is one I feel great about. And I feel great everyone is going to feel that.

Just realized this will be the draft we always talk about having the opportunity to draft Caleb downs and Jacob Rodriguez when they both make the HOF

Brian Parker OT Duke
6' 5" 305
Didn't think they would take a second OL but likely first one starts the season on IR so makes sense.

I 100% agree, if we don't win a super bowl in the next 3 years, this trade and draft is a complete failure.skycruiser wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 4:21 pmJust realized this will be the draft we always talk about having the opportunity to draft Caleb downs and Jacob Rodriguez when they both make the HOF

Robinson looks like a scheme fit, he's on the smallish side but very quick. He excels when on stunts and slants which Al loves doing. It should be interesting to see how this pick pans out. I like smaller quick guys, just can be crazy disruptive.
