If Zac was let go whats the chances he would be interviewing for a team giving the options of HCs out there right now?
Slim
100 percent. The guy has taken a team to a Super Bowl and an AFC Championship in the last five years. He was saddled with injuries and a terrible defense.
I'm not saying he would get a job, but there is no chance he's not interviewing.

SUPERBOWL!!
I'm sure its my age and bandwidth right now, but I have never cared less for the NFL and unfortunately my team. I do wonder if the NFL is suffering from fan fatigue hence the international push to expand the revenue pool. Everyone I talk to just seems tired of it.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

I turned one game on this weekend to have on in background and heard Romo's voice and turned it off immediately as I didn't care enough to listen to the worst announcer in all of sports. No plans to watch anymore football this year

I lost a lot of my passion for the NFL many years ago. The unequal refereeing, the ridiculous new targeting rule along with the horrid new kick off procedures, all contributed to my growing lack of interest.
And to be fair, the roller coaster ride that has been most recent Bengals seasons contributes to the sour taste the game has left in my mouth as well.
I still love college football and I've recently renewed my long held interest in the CFL. I've probably watched more CFL games the past 3-4 years than I have NFL games to be honest. Its just a purer form of football imo.
I don't see the NFL getting better any time soon either. The commissioner's office seems deaf to the dislike the fans have for many of the newer rule changes. The seem to think pro football is bullet proof. I'm not so sure.

I agree with you both. Mostly God has removed this idol from my life and Sunday is filled with purpose and rest.
But that said, the product just sucks. The involvement of sports betting has compromised sports. And now private equity is getting involved? No thanks.

Yes, that is an excellent point.
The involvement of sports wagering and the leagues acceptance, nay embracment of it, makes you wonder about every controversial call now.
Add in the arrests recently of NBA players for points shaving and you have the perfect recipe for doubt and conspiracy theories.
Its not a good look Beavis...

My interest in D1 college football is nearly gone. OSU will have 50+ (out of around 85) new players next year. There are zero rules left and fact the NCAA found Michigan on the biggest scale in football history they didn't take away any wins, or their national championship is a complete joke. OSU schedule this year was a joke with only a few games that there was any chance of them losing.
I have moved most of my sports watching attention to the local D2 college. I have been attending nearly every home game for most sports and find it very entertaining.

Yes the Oilers. My wife's job brought us back on campus so real convenient to catch sports other than football. Were you there when the new head coach was playing? My wife and others that I have talked to that have worked with him so far speak very highly of him.
It was a great season for them but between graduation and especially the portal has lost a ton of talent so not sure what next year will look like.
