I'll be the first (and maybe only) one to say it, but if we are in the playoffs with Jake at the helm, I don't want Burrow back to disrupt the mojo. Make it absolutely clear to everyone that Burrow could play if needed but its Jake's team for this season. Dead serious....if Jake gets us there with some of the games we have coming up, he deserves it.
You're out of your mind! Joe Burrow gives us the best chance to win a SB. Not Jake Browning.

This team isn't Jake's team, this is Joe Burrows team Jake's just supposed to take care of it until Joe gets back.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Joe Burrow (turf toe) could return mid-December.

As expected, Rapoport said Burrow will be out a minimum of 12 weeks. He also included plenty of qualifiers when talking about a potential return for Burrow. The most important caveat he made was the fact that the Bengals need to have something to play for late in the season if Burrow is going to step back on the field this year. If Jake Browning struggles and the Bengals are out of the playoff hunt late in the year, Burrow is all but guaranteed to close the season on the sidelines. Browning went 4-3 as a starter in a similar situation in 2023. He led the league in completion rate (70.3 percent) and threw 12 touchdowns to seven interceptions.

Ben Baby @Ben_Baby

Bengals guard Dalton Risner is good healthwise, per Zac Taylor. However, it appears that right guard starting spot is open again. Rookie Jalen Rivers finished there against MIN.

Taylor on Rivers: "I thought he held up well against a good defensive front."

Bengals EDGE Shemar Stewart (ankle) is doubtful for Cincinnati’s Week 6 game against the Packers.

Stewart had gotten in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday, so it’s possible he dealt with a setback. It’s also possible he just wasn’t ready. The rookie hasn’t played since Week 2 and is now at “a standard IR stint” level of missed games assuming the doubtful listing holds.

Dianna Russini of the Athletic reports 49ers GM John Lynch is exploring the pass rusher trade market including checking on the availability of Bengals EDGE Trey Hendrickson.

The dots are fairly easy to connect here. The 49ers are desperate for pass rush help after losing Nick Bosa to injury for the season. The Bengals gave Hendrickson a raise this past offseason, but the team is going nowhere with Joe Burrow also injured and Hendrickson is set to hit free agency this offseason. Hendrickson would likely be highly coveted if he was made available in trade before the NFL’s midseason trade deadline.

Ask for a 1st round pick and take it and run.

A 1st and a 3rd at least. Maybe another 3rd next year.
