I don't know where B1 went, but since he isnt here to defend himself, I blame all of this on him.

This is so messed up.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

This is a repeat of Andrew Whitworth. He had more sacks than Maxx Crosby, but the organization believes he's too old for that kind of deal.

This is where I give the Bengals the benefit of the doubt (I feel like a need a shower after typing that). But Whitworth (Bates another but they wanted to keep him but he got a huge deal) is the rare exception to what Bengals FA have done after they left the Bengals. A lot of teams have given former Bengals contracts that they quickly regretted giving than the ones that were happy. Trey is old in football terms and will be turning 31 this year.

The best example Bengals let Carl Lawson leave for a 3 year 45 million contract and instead signed Hendrickson to a 4 year 60 million contract (added a 5th year for 21 million). Since then 57 sacks vs 12.

If going to have 1/3rd of cap space in QB and 2 WR can't pay big money to an old DE that history shows very likely will not be as good of player or gets hurt.

We just need to accept the fact if Bengals keep those 3 players the D is going to suck unless they hit big time on the draft.

Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Bengals have signed TE Mike Gesicki to a three-year, $25.5 million deal.

Gesicki enjoyed a nice bounce back season with the Bengals in 2024. He caught 65 passes for 665 yards, which were both the most he’s had in a season since 2021. Bringing back Gesicki was part of Joe Burrow’s offseason plan as the quarterback has publicly lobbied for all of his offensive weapons to get paid...

If All comes back healthy, they are set at TE for a few years.

I nominate this post for "Post of the Year".

I know it's early but this is well deserved.

I've heard Higgins is on a plane or in Cinci currently. Some folks are expecting him to sign soon.

I'm happy they signed Gesicki. That really frees us up having to worry about getting a TE in the draft, or FA where there's no really good options out there after him.
