Re: NFL News & Notes
I honestly don't see the Bengals extending Chase. They're going to do the exact something with him as they're doing with Higgins. Higgins is gonna walk. Chase at the end of his tag is gonna walk.
Why do you think we have drafted so many receivers??
Mike B ain't paying a WR 30 plus Mill a year...no way.....NO WAY! if he isn't giving Tee 20 to 21 a year what the hell you all think he gonna give Chase more??

Lawrance isn't even a top 10 QB. If he doesn't improve his play this will not be a good deal for the Jags.stripesincarolina wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 8:44 pmOn par with Burrow for a league high annual average contract. And I call major BS with that one. Burrow has been to the Superbowl in his short tenure and it was all on his shoulders, the entire season. And Burrow has consistently outplayed TL when he is healthy. I'm not saying TL isn't worth what he got paid. There are plenty of stupid contracts out there. I'm just saying if money is a measure of performance, Burrow is worth a lot more or TL a lot less. There is no parity here.

I respectfully 100% disagree. They aren't going to extend Higgins because Chase is their target the entire time. No difference then Palmer and Chad Johnson. They will extend Chase and that makes Higgins odd man out.Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 7:12 amI honestly don't see the Bengals extending Chase. I'm throwing up in my mouth a little as I write this but......but.....but....I 100% agree with Meat here. The entire reason behind not throwing scads of money at Tee was to save it to extend Chase. Chase is a top 3 WR in this league. They've said for months now their plan all-along was to extend Chase no matter what. The salary cap keeps going up. They have the money, its just a matter of reaching a deal.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 12:19 pmI respectfully 100% disagree. Plus they don't want to piss-off their franchise QB. Chase is his favorite target and good friend.

I mean yeah! I think we should extend Chase! But it's not up to me. He's not paying Chase what Jefferson received though! They can be a bit creative and work something out but Mike isn't paying Jeffeeson money. He's not going to have 2 players take up 40 to 45 % of the cap each year. Do I hope Chase is extended? Hell yeah! But I just can't see it happening. May be surprised...who knows. But I'll believe it when I see it.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 1:15 pmI'm throwing up in my mouth a little as I write this but......but.....but....I 100% agree with Meat here. They will pay him Jefferson money, and they will extend him. They knew this was coming and they've prepared for it. This has happened in the history of this franchise so it wouldn't and shouldn't be surprising when they do.Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 9:09 pmI mean yeah! I think we should extend Chase! Re: NFL News & Notes
The 22M they’re paying Tee this year will go to chase next year. It’s not that complicated

Re: NFL News & Notes
Hard Knocks news........this year (December launch of episodes) HN will cover an entire division for the first time being the AFCN. Cool concept, but I think they will be too late with the launch. The season will be nearly decided by the time they release episodes. Any major story lines would have already been made public and the interest level waned. They need to be pushing these episodes out by the end of October so we are only on a 4-6 week lag time.
Will be interesting to see if they do weekly features of one team or a round robin of the division.

You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025
