Every time is WFT in print I think of WTF.

I actually liked the name that was being tossed around when they first dropped the Redskins moniker; Sentinels.

The Jets have confirmed that Carl Lawson is out for the year with a torn Achilles. Tough break for sure.

The Washington Armada has a ring to it, but I said from the beginning they should just make it Redhogs. It barely requires a change and their fans already come dressed as pigs.

Of course, with the exception of the Presidents, they all sound better than the Cleveland Guardians.

I agree Armada is good the rest suck. And putting red in front of a name is really dumb. If want to use red in name go with well know red animal like Red Panda (my chose partially since DC zoo known for pandas) or Red Fox.

I believe it will hurt the comp pick though. I thought contract and play on field were two factors they use.

Red River Hogs are hogs of striking orange to reddish brown fur that live in rainforests near rivers.

Red Wolves are canines native to the southeastern United States.

Neither of those are made up and Washington has a well known history with the Hogs. It fits the team.

I had not heard of those animals before but do know the "hogs" history with the team. This would be a fitting image for DC.



Interesting that the Red Wolf has no red on in any of the pictures I saw. I would still go with Red Panda's.

I saw that last night and shocked me also. He made a hell of a good living going very little on the field.
