Camp Cut Thread - All teams
1 preseason game left (Bears v Titans) and the cuts / trades are starting to post. You could very easily argue this is one of the deepest rosters in Bengals history. Not talking strength of our starters, just depth. We could plug and play so many 2nd stringers right now. Great problem to have but only 53 can remain. Practice squad will be stacked too.
Grab your beers and your checkbook. I expect some last minute trades against our WR and TE depth.
Who dey!

You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report
Sources: The #Bills are releasing veteran S Geno Stone today.
Stone signed with Buffalo this offseason and has 14 career INTs and 21 PBUs. A return to the practice squad is possible, but he’ll explore the market first.
Paul Dehner Jr. @pauldehnerjr
A couple of notable former #Bengals moves. Bucs let go of Jake Browning after Jalon Daniels beat him out for the backup QB job.
Also, Buffalo released safety Geno Stone, who started every game for the Bengals the last two seasons.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Johnson will be released as part of the Bengals’ cut to 53 players on Sunday. Johnson was behind Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco on the depth chart with Sean Clifford also on hand this summer.
Johnson played in five games and made two starts for the Commanders in 2025. He’s appeared in games for five other teams and spent time with 14 clubs since entering the league as a 2008 fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers.

I think Charlie knew yesterday that the math wasnt mathing. Sorry to see him cut. But I do think he'll make a 53 somewhere.

Victim of depth. Hoping he clears waivers so we can park him on a practice squad. But I doubt he will.
