Players to be cut to save cap space

Post by 4256 Hits » Sat Jan 11, 2025 10:44 am

Three that seem quite clearly will be cut. Amount due to them next year.

Sam Hubbard - 11.5 million
Alex Cappa - 10.25 million
Moss - 4.8 million

Likely cut.
Rankins - 11.6 million
Stone - 8 million

Good news cutting these 5 will only be less than 10 million in dead cap.

All need to go. Vonn bell probably on that list too. Will be great to give that money back to the brown family

I thought about putting Pratt on the list. He 8.2 million and dead cap hit if cut is 2.33 million.

Bell was only signed to a one year contract so he is a FA.

Pratt is still a very good LB, I don't think you want to put him on any lists.

He was one of the worst LBs in coverage and literally missed the most tackles in the NFL. No thanks byyyye

I'd lean towards keeping Pratt if for no other reason than the Bengals have too many holes to fill in one off season. We had more 4-7th round picks and undrafted rookies take snaps than any other team in the league last year. I think he was asked to do too much with Logan Wilson out.

I'm with you and bringing back the guy (Golden) that got the most out of these two LB's I feel is a big help.
