Bengals v Stoolers - Playoff Week 3

Its official. We play on Saturday night and sit back to watch our destiny unfold on Sunday. Assumption being we win Saturday night, I truly would hate to be a player on Sunday knowing they were literally a single play away from the playoffs multiple times. Going to be hard to stomach as a fan much less a player.

Broncos and Dolphins must lose Sunday. I don't like our chances at all.

Here's the problem, you honestly thought we had a chance! If the odds are single digits, it means it's not going to happen. Their still single digits!

Here's my logic, if you are a fan of the team and you have been actually watching this record setting offense at work the last few weeks you have to believe that we can handle "our" business and win the last three. We appear to be on pace to do that. Outside of our control I had very high hopes that the Fins and Colts would lose one of their last three. They simply arent that good. The Browns stuck it right up our ass and tanked that game. And the Chiefs ended up pulling a flock of rabbits out of hats and now can rest their starters. So it is week 18, and yes the odds are slim. But as long as the team is fighting like they are I'm not going to walk away like some here appear to be. Otherwise, why are you even here?

We have plenty of time to flush the disappointments of the season when the odds are down to zero.

So I'm normally Mr. Positive around here but even I saw the writing on the wall this season. Sure we're making a push here late but honestly we didn't win a game against anyone with a winning record until this past weekend! Sure Burrow and Chase are having a miracle year and it's fun to watch, but you can only watch have the game cause the Defense is like having diarrhea thru a screen door and not hitting a wire! We were at like 7% last week and then we won and our chances stayed at 7%. The reason I'm here is to help you stay grounded, because I know how hard the fall is going to be if we win on Saturday!

There is 0% chance that the Chiefs are going to be Denver and let Cincinnati into the playoffs

Denver doesn't have a chance in hell against Buffalo! I'm just saying...

i was thinking aobut this as well.... not only the chiefs, but NOBODY wants to go up against burrow in the playoffs.

HOWEVER.... can i really see a football team with grown ass men and Andy Reid "tanking" a game because they are "scared" of Burrow? Hard to fathom...

I completely disagree. Denver has a 4th ranked defense and Bo Nix is no slouch. You could easily argue that Denver is the more dangerous team overall. I think the Chiefs rest starters, sure. But they won't "tank", per se.

I don't think they will for entire game because I don't think they want them going 23/24 days w/o playing a football game. I expect them to play everyone at least a half.
