Good if your fantasy QB, RB or WR is playing the Bengals.skycruiser wrote: ↑Sun Oct 26, 2025 9:29 pmIs this good?

Serious Question...
If you could make a trade or two to add to the defense, before the trade deadline, would you?
Despite how bad we have looked on Defense, we are still scoring points and we are still only 1.5 games out of first place with a 2-0 Division record, already beating Pittsburgh once.
Best names looking as trade possibilities right now:
Riq Woolen - CB Seattle
Jaelan Phillips - Edge Miami
Alontae Taylor - CB New Orleans
Jermaine Johnson - Edge Jets
Michael Carter II CB - Jets
Arden Key - Edge - Titans
That is just a few listed by ESPN as most likely to be moved on the defensive side.

I would not. I think this team needs to be selling.Jmble wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 2:24 pmSerious Question...

Trade Trey, get some picks or a ham sandwich for all I care. He's over 30 and hurt!

Yeah, I don't think realistically any one or two new players are going to significantly help this defense this year.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 2:41 pmI would not. I think this team needs to be selling.

And the problem with trading players for future picks is that our drafting of defensive linemen has been terrible lately. To be fair, we're not much better at drafting O-linemen either.
I'm afraid without a wholesale change at the coaching positions, from HC on down, a significant change at Player Development (i.e. Toobin) and a significant increase in the scouting department, it's just shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.
And for the record, I don't expect anything much to change in any of those areas I mentioned above.
About the only thing I can think of that might move the needle for SoP is a wholesale boycott by the fan base and/or a threat from Burrow to pull a Carson Palmer.
And for the record, I don't expect either of those things to happen either.
In other words, I simply don't see any significant changes in the team for the foreseeable future, sadly.
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
Unless you can get all of the above no reason to get just one or two. Should be selling. If can get anything trade Brown, Hendrickson, Wilson, Fant, CTB, Stone and Karras. Even trade Flacco if can get more than they gave up for him.Jmble wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 2:24 pmSerious Question...

I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
With the Steelers losing, it still seems early to be selling. But not sure what we can do to improve this defense? Something needs to change.
