#Bengals add a year to Ted Karras’ contract, now signed through the 2026 season. They did the same last year.

Karras is at the foundational core of the locker room, offensive line and still a rock at center at 32.

I feel like this is a great move.

Absolutely! Need more guys like Karras on this team.

Zac Taylor said Lucas Patrick will be out a couple weeks and there will be some decisions to make there.

Said he thought Patrick played well during the short amount of time he was in there.

I don't have an issue with it either but it seems to me the secondary is the area that needs shoring up more than the D-Line.

That's a fair point and it's also true that not many DBs are available on the market right now.

Also getting someone on the DL doesn’t mean you can’t also find someone to help the secondary if they are available.

Notes from news conference with Zac Taylor:

- Cam Taylor-Britt may have said he'll be better this week, but clearly this isn't about talk: "Got to prove it will be consistent. Just show us."

- Talked about defense feeding off energy from Demetrius Knight Jr. Said plays like a guy trying to feed his family. Doing it "for the right reasons."

- Praise for special teams play on Sunday. Shouted out Tahj Brooks, Tycen Anderson, DJ Ivey and PJ Jules as well as entire kicking operation.

- Said Lucas Patrick injury was looking to be "around that time frame," so the four-week IR stint made sense.

- Praise for depth in DL room with plans to utilize that, specifically at edge.

- Also cut a promo I'm sure you will see on

before too long urging fans to show up early Sunday.
