So once again I had to listen on Sirius XM. Not only that, but because it was an away game for us I was forced to listen to the Texan's broadcast. :x

So how did the Linebacking look?

It sounded like the O-line gave up quite a few sacks.

The D did not give up a TD.

Who Dey!
LB play better than last year. Still too many missed tackles but top end DL can cover for a lot of problems in the back 7.

OL few dumb penalties and 4 OL played okay but OBJ was beyond terrible. He has to improve or Burrow is not going to make it to the end of the season.

We have to remember that that Texan defense is tops in the league. I didnt get to watch the game again, will see if I can find the replay somewhere. 2-0 feels really good.

Can't down play how big of a win this actually is men! Texans have been to play playoffs a few years in a row with a win in each playoff. You have to feel pretty good about this team right now.

The schedule, assuming minimal injuries, is certainly looking more favorable for 12-5 or better! Still some tough games ahead. And many will be far tougher than needed unless this offense gets going. I said earlier, it seems really vanilla right now.
You guys are going go be severely disappointed at the team they've put together this year. Severely disappointed. - Joe Bananas 8/18/2025

Question for Meat on Offensive Line - How realistic is the possibility that Mims and Brown could switch sides? It doesn't appear that Mims has any experience at the Left side, but coming out of College he supposedly had the size and the tools to play either side. Mims is dominating the Right side of the line. He's allowed zero QB pressures in two games now. Is it better to keep him dominating the right side? Would switching them up make both sides of the line worse due to the learning curve?

All I know is we can't have Burrow keep taking blind side hits. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt coming into the season, but Brown just doesn't look up to the job any more.

That's a great question, switching from side to side at this level isn't something most tackles can do. The foot work, strength in dominate hand punches and all that would take some time to adjust.

I think the better idea here would be to keep Mims where he is, and then bring in a TE or RB to chip and assist with OBJ until he get's his head out of his butt.

From Paul Dehner Jr

How about this from the raw
@PFF
data: The #Bengals racked up 41 pressures against Houston on Sunday.

FORTY-ONE.

Their average pressures per game over the last six years: 12.6

Previous high over that span: 33.

It was very convenient that the Texans dropped back 50 some times!
