2019 Schedule
Schedule comes out tonight. But for a teaser, we're going to London!! Bengals v Rams October 27th. Cool thing is they wont screw with the game times. 1pm eastern kickoff. And I like our chances for a nationally televised game. Old coach rivalry, world audience in London, Rams can create a draw given last year's success, and hopefully we will be undefeated before AND after that game!

Re: 2019 Schedule
First reaction... this looks like a very favorable schedule.
San Fran, Buffalo, Arizona, Jacksonville, The Jets, The Dolphins....
Granted, the season never goes the way you'd expect.

Re: 2019 Schedule
Wow, on paper I love it. Definitely a schedule we can take advantage of. Now lets field a team and go do this.
My gut says this is a .500 or better schedule going into the bye. And it looks equally as easy on the back half.

Re: 2019 Schedule
The first 1/4 looks brutal. Opening on the road to Seattle and 4 of 6 on the road including MNF at pitt...yikes
so hard to predict not knowing literally anything about this team and the coach. we did nothing in FA to make me think we'll be any better than last year. call me B1, but i see 5-11 being way more probable than 9-6

Re: 2019 Schedule
Sky, I agree we dont know about "us" given the new coach. Heck, we dont even know about "them" until after the draft. But looking at the changes we do know about I see 4-4 before the bye easily. A win at Balt, Seattle or Pitt is icing on the cake. Seattle and Pitt are not the teams they were. Definitely on the decline. Baltimore is in theory on the rise based on last years offense. But most teams now know what to expect from them and will scheme for it. I dont see us losing to Buffalo, Jax, Arizona or San Fran. So I'll stick with 4-4 as a minimal prediction and 6-2 as a stretch.

Re: 2019 Schedule
Maybe it's the stupid optimism that a change of seasons and a change of coaches brings, but I disagree. Not with your assessment of free agency, which was underwhelming. But I don't think our team was as bad last year as you think it was.skycruiser wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 10:38 amThe first 1/4 looks brutal. We got off to a 4-1 start despite a kind of crappy defense, until injuries caught up with us, and everything went to shit. I think there's talent on this roster, and I think a new coaching staff could be the spark we need. Not that there won't be bumps in the road, and not that the schedule is cakewalk easy, but it's not terrible.
I mean, it's the Bengals, so 5-11 is never totally unlikely, but I'd give better odds on a winning record than a losing record at this point.
