Cats v Vikes Game Thread - Saturday Edition

Post by stripesincarolina » Sat Dec 16, 2023 9:03 am

Wacky weekends are finally here in the 2023 season. Its going to feel like all football all the time for the next month and B1 ain't here for it. I had my own stint with bandwagon-ism so I won't hold it against him. But you don't drive around a car with a Bengals reference on your license plate and not check the score. C'mon back B1. We all need a good insult.

So that brings us to today's complete romping of the horny hat men. Anything less than a 14 point victory would be disappointing here given what both teams have done the last couple of weeks. This is our launching pad to Pittsburgh. This is a necessary step to the playoffs. The Vikes are injured far worse than we are right now. Browning is in a nice groove. Our running game has surfaced at the right time. But our defense is still scraping the bottom of the NFL rankings in nearly every category. So there's that.

Don't forget the other two games today have huge implications for our playoff picture with the Steelers and Colts facing off and the Broncos v Lions. Obviously we should be Lions fans this week. But I believe we should also be rooting for the Stoolers to knock out the Colts, and then we have a must win against the Stoolers next week anyway which will knock them out.

I'm going 31-17 today to get us to 8-6 and bring our boy B1 back home again. Who-Dey!

My head is expecting to come down to earth with a bump tonight (being a Bengal fan for so long I’m always expecting catastrophic failure at any moment) my heart says we beat the snot out of the Vikings so bet on 31-13 win😎
Who dey all and enjoy the game!

Not a good end to that first drive. We have two good running backs and a mobile QB, and two downs to get a yard. And that was the best play we've got?? Disappointing.

Good to get points on first drive but odd call but would have been a TD if threw it back to Browning.

Glad have a Saturday game this week as my daughter is graduating from OSU tomorrow and would have been unable to watch.
