2023 Draft Prediction Thread
Alright ya'll...share your mocks here. What do you think we'll do? What do you want us to do?
Here's mine:
Round 1- Emmanuel Forbes, CB Miss State - dude is a ball hawk which the secondary needs. This will be BAP, but I do think it'll be a corner and we'll snatch one up to replace Chido who will be gone at the end of the year. if Dalton Kincade or Michael Mayer fall, they'll def take them but don't see them being around. Could def see a DL or OT here.
Round 2- Zach Charbonnet, RB UCLA- we love our 2nd round RB's, don't we? Could also see a TE here
Round 3- Jayden Reed, WR Michigan State - Heir apparent to tyler boyd
Round 4- Zach Kuntz TE Old Dominion- he doesn't want to block, but can be a good development behind Irv Smith, Jr. Also really like Tucker Craft from SD state. there's quality TE's that you'll get on day 3 that would normally be 2nd rounders
Round 5- Tyler Steen, OL - figure we'll come away with some new options at OT in later rounds
Round 6- Bryce Baringer, P, Michigan State- gotta come away with one of the top 3 punters IMO
Round 7- Grayson McCall, QB, Coastal Carolina
what says you?

Sitting on the beach in Ponte Vedra FL eating cookies and cream ice cream with a cold beer. Draft? It can wait.

I’m at Seaside beach in Florida as well this week. Gonna have it on once the kids go to bed so I can see the annual tradition of them going to a commercial break once the bengals pick us in

Re: 2023 Draft Prediction Thread
This is all I want, somebody to help us win a Super Bowl.
It's not Bengal like at all, but we are on the cusp of winning right now. If you identify a player who can help you win a Super Bowl right now, get him. If you think Bijon Robinson or Michael Mayer is the key to taking you that last step, then trade up and get your guy. We are not trying to build a team this year. We are trying to take our team that last step to win.
If they don't see a guy who is going to help them take that next step this year, then fine, wait and grab the best player available or trade down and get more players. But I want to win a Super Bowl. I would trade our entire draft this year if it guaranteed us a Super Bowl
Having said all that, we will probably sit back and take a CB or a Safety.

Re: 2023 Draft Prediction Thread
Hahaha so true. It’s gonna be a CB or a DE that won’t play much this year. Give me Gibbs or Mayer/Kincade, but will probably trade back to mid 30s and take a next year player
Re: 2023 Draft Prediction Thread
Nope, I get the feeling it will be an offensive player in round 1.skycruiser wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:23 amHahaha so true. It’s gonna be a CB or a DE that won’t play much this year. Give me Gibbs or Mayer/Kincade, but will probably trade back to mid 30s and take a next year player
It probably should be a DT or CB but I get the feeling they feel their best chance to grab a difference maker will come in round 1.
Re: 2023 Draft Prediction Thread
I threw $20 on the Bengals drafting a Running Back with their first pick at +1000 odds. Been a lot of talk online about Gibbs the last couple of days. I liked the odds.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:53 amNope, I get the feeling it will be an offensive player in round 1.skycruiser wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:23 amHahaha so true.
