Ja'Marr Chase WR, Cincinnati Bengals

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Ja'Marr Chase is off crutches and has "a chance" to play in Week 12 against the Titans.

Rapoport noted Chase is expected to return to practice next week. Chase was first listed with the hip issue on the injury report in Week 7. He played through it once but has been inactive since Week 8. Despite Rapoport's optimism, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Bengals hold chase out an extra week to ensure the issue doesn't come up again...

I called it after they said 4-6 weeks. They wanted to get him the rest he needed for the push to the playoffs. Clev, Carolina, Bye then Pitt a stretch of the season where we could get away without him. We'll go 2-1 over that stretch and have him back rested ready to go up against the Titans.

Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG__
The Bengals have waived WR Mike Thomas. They’ve also cleared OT Isaiah Prince to practice. This opens up a roster spot. Trenton Irwin couldn’t be elevated again and he has done more than enough to earn a roster spot on the 53. The Bengals also cut LB Tegray Scales from the practice squad. They now have an open spot to add there.

No full time move yet at punter.

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet

Coach Zac Taylor says WR Ja’Marr Chase will resume practice this week.
"We'll start working him back this week to see where he's at.”

Thinking a lot about playoff scenarios today. Lets say we go 3-3 over the next 6 games and it all comes down to week 18 against the Rats. Now in that span the Rats will have no excuse not to go 6-0 because their next 5 games are against 3-7 teams. So lets assume they have clinched the division and their spot.

So what do the birds do? Do they rest their starters, let us win and get into the dance with a very real possibility of playing us the next week? Or do they play us straight up and risk serious injuries from a real AFCN deathmatch??

The playoff twists these next few weeks are going to be crazy. But I just dont see us going better than 3-3 with the Ratbirds game being for all the marbles.

What say you?

So now that we've pushed out 5 straight wins we're almost a lock for the playoffs at this point. When we we're sitting at 4-4 it's hard to imagine this team would run 5 straight. With only 4 games left I think we have the ability to run the table. I believe if we do we'll end up with the #1 seed. I do believe KC will slip up one more time before the end of the season. At this point we can't afford any bad games or loses.

The Bucs and the Pat's should be wins for us at this point. The Bills I don't think so though that game is at home for us.

The Ravens have been up and down all season. Another home game but let's see who's healthy at the end of the year before predicting that one...

Honestly we're peaking and the Bills aren't. I don't think it's out of the possibility to win out.

I'm starting to see that Week 18 against the Ravens is going to be a blood bath. They won't be resting starters as they will be playing for a home game. Tension is building, but things will really go bonkers if we beat Tampa next week and the Browns find a way against the Ravens. Ideally the Bills will have nothing to play for in Week 17.
