I have a feeling they wanted wanted Little or Carson and when Little was taken they rushed the pick in. I didn't see any time ticker going off for Cinci, so I have a feeling they got one of the guys they wanted.
According to a few on Twitter, Willie Anderson has worked with Carmen, former OL Coach Paul Alexander posted a video of Carmen working with him saying he's the smartest O-line he's worked with. Zac said they wanted Carmen at 36. I don't think they wanted Little at all.
But wait what about stripes bears neighbors insights?
Lol. Not sure that's what we're discussing. My original point was I don't understand why Jax needed an OL.and took someone who hasn't played since 2018 but Lawrence, Eitnennes own linemen for 4 years was an they passed him up.
Meat thinks we wanted Little.
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

I still think we should have taken Jenkins at 38. And I bet we'll have a kicker and a LB from a no name school in the 4th to show for it.
But my Bears fan neighbor is quite happy Cruiser.

In depth Carmen film breakdown. Shows his negatives and positives. The things he does well should make him a top end G. Carmen does a great job getting to the second level and locking on dudes. He's also good at picking up stunts. These have been the biggest issues with our guards recently. If Carmen continues to develop, he should be an elite guard.

Note: video done by a Raiders fan, but it's extremely well done.

This draft is weird for me. If I was grading in a vacuum, I'd probably give the draft a B+. The problem is it's not in a vacuum and we will always have the, what could have been, to think about.
I'm not unhappy. We got a true number one receiver with spectacular talent. We got an Offensive Lineman who is projected to be able to play Tackle but will probably start at Guard this season, which is exactly what I was asking for. And we got a Defensive End who was projected by PFF as the number 47 overall pick (at pick 69) that will helpfully take some of the load of losing Lawson and make a nice team with Hendrickson to give us our pass rush back.
Like I said, I'm not unhappy, but I'm definitely not over the moon.
If these guys all live up to their potential, I think we hit a homerun, but how often does that happen in anyone's draft? We all know drafts can't truly be graded this early.
