Duke Tobin- “We’re going to be aggressive, we have money to spend, blah blah blah.”
Horseshit. We should’ve known they were going to pull to football away at the last second once again.
See my post from Twitter feeds. The Bengals are sitting with their eyes bugged out because of these contracts today- they're going to sit out a few days and rethink everything it's saying.
Basically speaking, you're right and we're the dumbfucks believing this shit
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

I didn’t expect them to make stupid offers, but I at least expected them to make competitive ones. Lawson irks me the most, because that’s creating another hole to fill.

Takes 2 to tango. LA or the nati?
One will be about an extra 2 million in taxes.

I mean I get that in a way. But as Ace pointed out if Team A is willing to spend so much on a player is it truly over spending? Market value is whatever a player signs for regardless of what position it is.
Just like an analogy of selling something. You say it's worth this and basically it's worth whatever someone gave you for it.

I don't think it's the total cost of the contracts that the Bengals object to but rather the way their structured. The Bengals hate guaranteed money and back loaded contracts that favor the player over the orginaztion.
That seems to be the way a lot of these current contracts are being written...

And the reason they're bumfuzzeled and are sitting on their hands now wondering what the hell to do. Is that a surprise to you?

Not an upgrade over Lawson, so it doesn't make the team any better than last year.
