2021 Free Agency

Color me shocked.....
Report: Bengals tried to reunite with Kevin Zeitler in free agency
By Chris Roling | 7:15 pm
The Cincinnati Bengals were interested in a reunion with former first-round pick Kevin Zeitler during free agency before the veteran signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer reported the Bengals made an attempt, but that the offer “wasn’t near” the money Zeitler got in Baltimore.
Zeitler landed a three-year deal worth $22 million to join the Ravens.
It’s a notable miss for the Bengals, as letting Zeitler go was one of the major missteps that led to the team being in this position in the first place. Both guard spots are issues and the team has since missed on major free agents like Joe Thuney.
In a way, the Bengals getting Zeitler back would have been poetic and an admission of the problematic roster-building lately. But Zeitler was apparently out of their price range, so now they will instead have to face him twice a year in the AFC North.

Don’t worry our DTs will dominate him

From the "I'll believe it when I see it" file....

Strong sense among other teams that Bengals will end up with Carl Lawson back with then. Making a push to retain him

Re: 2021 Free Agency
They kinda have to now. Hobson probably has the “Bengals get their top target” article already written
Re: 2021 Free Agency
Dolphins sign Cethan Carter away.
From Paul Dehner
This one hurts #Bengals STC Darrin Simmons. For the second year in a row the Dolphins have poached his star special teams player. Last year Clayton Fejedelem and now Carter.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
So the Chargers actually see Herbert as an elite QB and will do anything to protect him. They signed an all pro center and now former steelers OL Matt Feiler reached agreement on a three-year, $21 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, per source.
We still have Bobby Hart and Billy Price protecting our elite QB......

I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
Not sure that's a fair assessment considering the 2 guys that they signed were recently in Green Bay and Pittsburgh. One of the coldest cities and one of the dirtiest and disgusting ones in Pitt. I mean it's not like either one was paradise in the making to begin with. But money talks and the Bengals load up the cash truck in first year or 2 money, which is what you want as a player. I bet Cincinnati never reached out to either.

Can confirm. The Jets have agreed to terms with Carl Lawson. The #Bengals are losing their top pass rusher
