Ben Roethlisberger’s agent says Steelers want the quarterback to return
Best news I read all day. His body is done, he took beatings that Brady and Brees never did.
Totally. He's not the QB he once was.
And exactly how big of a pay cut is he actually going to take? I mean, they can't disrespect him with a low contract--pay the man, pay him big-ish, and make it even harder to build for the future.

If he was ready to be a backup and take backup money I would grab him in a heartbeat. He could be a great insurance policy if JB is delayed a few weeks. But I see him landing somewhere in the league as the starter. With the right weapons he's an excellent QB.

JJ Watt signing a two year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
It's not Cleveland and it's not Pittsburgh so I'm happy.
Of note:
From Field Yates
Most sacks in the NFL since the start of 2012:
1. Chandler Jones: 97
2. JJ Watt: 95.5
Now teammates in Arizona.

While I wouldn't complain, I also wouldn't be jumping at bringing in a 37 year old QB with injury concerns who doesn't know the system to take over for our 28 year old backup QB who already knows the system.
Somebody will sign him. He played ok last year.

If it's about chasing a ring he's not much closer in Phoenix than he was in Houston. If it's about chasing the money..... yeah, he's probably better off.

Arizona is currently 35/1 to win the Super Bowl next year vs Houston at 125/1. I'd say that's significantly closer. If they upgrade more in free agency and the draft, they could be players. I agree that it's not as good of odds as Green Bay or Buffalo, but it's hard not to look at his situation as an upgrade especially knowing Watson is also on his way out the door.

If Watson's gone then yeah, AZ is definitely in a better position next season. But that also depends on who Houston gets to replace him, doesn't it?
He'll also now be in a division with LA, Seattle and SF. Not an easy task for sure.
He probably wanted to avoid the cold weather cities like Buffalo, Cleveland, Green Bay etc...
