Week 8 - PFF Scores
Week 8 - PFF Scores
Here's the update for week 8
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Good win against a Good team.
I wasn't able to watch much this week so I don't have much to add from the Eye Test.
From scores alone,
Burrow up 2.8 to 77.4
Higgins up 3.3 to 75.1
Wilson up 1.5 to 51.8
Wilson started out low but has consistently been going up every week.
Judging by a small sample size, the Bengals may have nailed those first three picks this year. Been a while since we can say that.
Auden Tate up 13.7 points in one week.
Redmond up 8.1, Fred Johnson up 9.4, and Billy Price up 3.7. Good we for the fill ins on the OL.
The good thing about playing with a bad offensive line all year, is that it can't get much worse when you have to fill in. When those guys actually perform a little bit, it feels like an upgrade even if the quality of player isn't an upgrade.
Jessie Bates still the number one Safety Bell up 6.9, Bates up 2.4, Williams up 8.5, and Wilson up 3.7. All the Safeties performed well. Most of the rest of the defense had a bad week.

Re: Week 8 - PFF Scores
thanks Jmble!!!
i will add.. i did watch the entire game.... and this team is getting better and better every week....
This week the team looked great... and honestly this is close to how they have been playing all season, except they finally closed it out.
Even Burrow said in his post-game interview that just a couple plays here and there and we are a 6-2 or 7-1 team. this is what ive been trying to say all season.... i still think this team is better than anyone is giving them credit for...
ESPECIALLY SINCE JOE B HAS ALL OF 8 GAMES EXEPERIENCE.... holy moley my man crush on this guy is large and growing...
as i watch the games i keep telling myself... this is what its like to have an NFL elite QB... and the ability to will the team to a win even when our talent may by lesser.... grated we havent gotten all of the wins but what i do point to is that (IMO) we were in a position to win every single game thus far except the Ratbirds.
But we'll get our shot at them again.
super excited about the future right now.... hell im still excited to see the 2nd half of this season!!

Re: Week 8 - PFF Scores
It's such a difference watching burrow play QB vs dalton. know what i mean?
like, you are patiently waiting for joe to make a play. like you know hes going to pull something off
and with andy, you're holding your breath everytime the ball flies expecting something bad to happen
and boy, do i not miss throwing it away on 3rd down, batted balls at the line, and wasted time outs....

Re: Week 8 - PFF Scores
Just saw this in an article on The Athletic:
That's gotta be a misprint for Jackson, because it shows him with a higher grade than Big Jen, but still. Point being Burrow's pretty decent.Speaking of Burrow and PFF, the site has the rookie graded as the best quarterback in the AFC North through the first half of the season wtih a mark of 77.2, which ranks 12th in the league. Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger (17th, 73.4), Baltimore's Lamar Jackson (19th, 74.9), and Cleveland's Baker Mayfield (30th, 67.5) all trail Burrow.
