Report: Reds concerned with Rolen's status

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Reds are concerned that Scott Rolen (shoulder) might not be able to return to the field this season. There is no timetable for Rolen's return and Heyman believes the situation is more dire than originally reported. "I really don't know," Reds manager Dusty Baker said Saturday when asked when Rolen would return. The 37-year-old third baseman was off to a rough start this year when he hit the shelf, batting just .174/.238/.304 with two homers and 11 RBI. Todd Frazier has replaced him in the lineup.

It may be time to say goodbye to Rolen. At this point he's more of a hinderence of the development of our younger guys than he is a help to the team. When he's in there he's been a good leader, but you can't keep having the uncertainty. IMO, let's roll with Frazier.
