B1 - Lyle Waggoner

Post by Joe Bananas » Tue Mar 17, 2020 4:27 pm

Hated to see that one of my childhood favs died today. Lyle Waggoner. Wasn't sure if you knew or not.

He was a perfect fit for the Carol Burnett show back in the day and other roles as well.

Sad.
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

And he starred with Linda Carter in Wonder Woman don't forget.

Yeah, I saw it and posted it on my Facebook page.

Stuart Whitman passed away yesterday too... :(

Yeah, used to watch WW with him as a kid.

Seen where Whitman passed away this morning.

It's funny, used to watch Carol Burnett show and really they all looked the same, conway ans korman and vickie and carol and then addes Waggoner to the show with his bright looks, dark hair, think the show needed him at the time. I never would have thought adding him to a show like that would work if I was older back then, being a kid and watching him he fit the show perfectly somehow.

With Conway and Korman having already passed only the two women, Vicki and Carol remain.

My childhood is slowly disappearing it seems.

I believe Carol still does appearances. I thought I read awhile back she did a show in Cincinnati or will maybe this summer. I'll have to check into it.

Loved the Carol Burnett show. Conversely, hated Mama's Family.
