Compensation update: Seahawks are sending OL B.J. Finney and a 7th-round pick to the Bengals in exchange for DE Carlos Dunlap, per source.
Seriously, you really couldn't have asked for more considering the situation. 8-)

this may be good booty...
Ian Rapoport ☑️ @RapSheet

This deal includes a player and a pick, not just a pick.

This is about as good as we could have hoped for with Carlos. A 7th round pick would have been an upgrade over just cutting him, and adding some depth to our o-line is a big plus. Finney is almost certainly not the guy who's going to turn this line around, but at least there's a chance he could be an upgrade.

surprisingly good value considering dunlap blew up his value.

#1 you get addition by subtraction

#2 you get future capital

#3 you get someone who can play right now in a position it's sorely needed

WINNING!!!!!!

Happy with the outcome but irritated with the precedent set here. By being a whiney bitch, Dunlap now has an excellent shot at a SB ring. I fully expect he will up his game in Seattle as it was abundantly clear he was half assing things here THIS season. Cant wait to get a download on this once the season ends. But now you have others that have an exit strategy they can follow when things dont go their way. I realize the antithesis to this is Carson Palmer. That didnt go so well either. But I just dont like these freaking millionaire babies crying woe is me and walking out on a contract.

Moving on.....

That is a cogent, well thought out and properly punctuated post.

I miss the garbled, non-sequeter poorly spelled Cruiser posts of the past.... :(
