If he were asking for "crazy" money I'd agree with you Meat. And if he were a marginal player asking for money beyond his talent level I'd agree with you.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 12:30 pmWhat someone wants and what someone will actually get are probably 2 different numbers in this case.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 12:10 pmWarford wants 7mil a year. But 7mil for a pro bowl caliber O-linman in an era where poor O-lines are the norm is not out of the question.

Maybe but it's late in the game and I haven't seen a lot of teams throwing interest his way.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 1:15 pmIf he were asking for "crazy" money I'd agree with you Meat. Bobbie Hart and C.J. Uzomah are each getting 5.8 million. I would be willing to cut them both to sign him.

I don't know where you're getting that. According to Ian Rappaport he's "drawing lots of interest." That's a direct quote from one of his tweets.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 1:32 pmMaybe but it's late in the game and I haven't seen a lot of teams throwing interest his way.
The Seahawks seem particularly interested but I've read their up against the cap. However, they could always release someone to free up the cap space to land him.
Either way, I don't see any signs he'll be a bargain...

Yeah, it's just a fact that there isn't an over-abundance of quality linemen out there. He'll get paid, and given the under-abundance of quality linemen on our own depth chart, I'd like to see us be the ones to pay him, improbable as that sounds on a team owned by Mike Brown.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 3:03 pmI don't know where you're getting that. Only reason I've stated what I've stated is because I haven't seen a lot of reports where teams have been interested, that's all.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 3:03 pmI don't know where you're getting that. Obviously don't need to cut him to sign him but I could get by with Sample and going with a lot of 4WR formations.
