#Rams Right Tackle Rob Havenstein is considered available via trade. Acquiring team would have $6.75M Cap Hit in 2021. Will play season at 29 yrs old. Steady Player. Might be an option for Bengals, Ravens (if trade Orlando Brown Jr) & others.

They will either trade him or release him, I'd take a chance and see if they release him.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:37 amChad Forbes (@NFLDraftBites)

I'd at least see what they are asking. I just read a report that the Rams could possibly get a second rounder for him. I'm not sure I'd give up that high of a pick for him, but I'd at least have the talks.Havenstein is a no brainer if he's cut. Played 1,117 snaps last year for the Rams with a PFF score of 80.2 He would slide into Bobby Hart's position seamlessly and would eliminate a need to take a Tackle high in the draft. He's 29 years old so should have another two to three years left in him if not more.

I’d be in for a 3rd
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
If the Bengals trade away their 3rd round pick they will not be able to use it on a yet to be named crappy LB.

If Havenstein is available, I say go for it. Looks like he will have base salaries of $5.1 and 7.2 mil over 2021-22. Offer a 4th, but no higher than a 3rd rd pick. His average career performance is better than what any rookie would give. PFF gives him an 80 grade. He gave up only 4 sacks and 5 penalties last season. It's a no brainer.
Land him plus Joe Thuney at LG, and we have the making of a decent OL. No rookie growing pains in front of Burrow. Top 2 (maybe 3) picks then can go forward the best available WR and defensive players. Could still go OL in RD 2 if they are BPA, but we won't have to reach.

From Jay Morrison today
The window to use the franchise tag opens today and runs through March 9.
Tagging Carl Lawson would cost the #Bengals approximately $15.9 million, while tagging William Jackson would cost $14.9 million.
