Cats vs Commanders Pre-Game Notes & Chatter

Well, the good news is our next two opponents are probably the worst two teams in the league right now. We should be 2-2 after the next few games.

First up are the Commanders at home on MNF. Prime Time games used to be a curse for the Bengals, not so much lately. Let's hope they shake off the Chiefs loss and get their heads together and come out with some fire and smoke these guys.

Let's hope. :?

I fully expect then to win this one since we have made it past the first two weeks of games. Now if they lose it will be time for Mag to give us which Alabama player he has the Bengals taking in his first mock draft.

 Scooper was like that with Notre Dame. He was always touting some Golden Domer at some position for us every April. Didn't matter that there was some guy from LSU or USC etc... that was ranked way higher. He always wanted the Irish player.

I miss that guy.

I think this is going to be an explosion of offense and get right night. I don't think Washington matches up with us very well and there's no way Joe Burrow goes 0-3. If you look back at the past 4 seasons under Burrow we are 3-0-1 in week 3. We are going to destroy the Redskins!!!

Bengals 35
Redskins 13

Never challenge the Bengals like this. They like to prove people wrong.

Coming full circle back to Burrow and the knee incident where he tossed his only reception ever to AJ Green. You have to wonder how many more seasons AJ would have had in Cincy with a healthy Burrow.

Anyway, we'll get the most recent tall, lanky WR back this week in Tee Higgins and that will set Ja'Marr loose to do Ja'Marr things. All the frustrations rain down in Cincy on MNF and the Bengals get the season going at last.

Bengals 30
Redskins 19

Friendly reminder one of these or more were prime time W's. We aren't losing this one.

From Si.com...

Cincinnati's O-Line is 28th in the NFL according to PFF. Only the Raiders, Jaguars, Titans and Patriots are ranked lower.

Left guard Cordell Volson went up against elite interior defender Chris Jones for much of Cincinnati’s bout with the Chiefs, and it showed in his stats," Zoltan Buday wrote. "Of the 12 pressures allowed by the Bengals' offensive line, Volson was responsible for five — one sack, one hit and three hurries. He finished the day with an 11.0 PFF pass-blocking grade, the second-lowest figure among all guards in Week 2. Cincinnati’s offensive linemen struggled to create creases in the running game, highlighted by the fact that all five players earned sub-65.0 PFF run-blocking grades in Week 2."
