Re: General Free Agency News & Chatter.
Why do old Bengals go to the Cardinals to die?? For that matter, Arizona has become the scrap heap of the league. Sometimes they have just enough banded together to be dangerous. But do the Cardinals really think Jonah is going to hack it at LT? Nuts!

I mean good on Williams I hope he enjoys his money cause he's not going to be a SB contender there.TheBurn wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 8:25 pmJeremy Fowler @JFowlerESPN

7:55 PM · Mar 13, 2024 · 841.8K ViewsCardinals agreed to terms with OT Jonah Williams, formerly of the Bengals, to a two-year, $30 million deal.
The Cardinals are expected to sign Williams just after releasing LT D.J. Humphries. Williams is a former first-round pick of the Bengals, starting in every game he played for the team. He switched from left tackle to right tackle before the 2023 season, but will presumably switch back to left for the Cardinals, who have 2023 first-rounder Paris Johnson at right tackle. It’s a two-year deal for Williams at a value of $30 million, with $19 million guaranteed.

I don't think this means we still don't sign Reader, but it could mean we go after Tart and really bolster that DL room and completely open up the draft other then RT.

Reader, Rankins, Hill, Hendrickson, Hubbard. I could live with that front line going into the year.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:03 pmI don't think this means we still don't sign Reader, but it could mean we go after Tart and really bolster that DL room and completely open up the draft other then RT.

Grades on Reader / Tart. Tart is the cheaper option, but really who cares at this point. Sign Reader, do it now. Win now.
Reader - 2021 - 80.8, 2022 - 87.3, and 2023 - 82.2.
Compared to Tart - 2021 - 59.2, 2022 - 73.1, and 2023 - 54.
Reader has 30 lbs on him. We need the bulk in the AFCN trenches.

Love the signing. They had to throw money at rankins after missing on a couple guys. He’s a stud and will bolster our DL immediately

15 million a year for Jonah Williams, damn teams are desperate for mediocre OL.TheBurn wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 8:25 pmJeremy Fowler @JFowlerESPN

Over paid if you ask me, and with the draft as deep as it is on OT, really overpaid.4256 Hits wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:58 pm15 million a year for Jonah Williams, damn teams are desperate for mediocre OL.TheBurn wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 8:25 pmJeremy Fowler @JFowlerESPN
