Jim Brown, who IMO was the greatest football player EVER, died Thursday. He was 87.
In his tribute story about Browns’ passing, sports writer Frank Schwab started with this sentence…"Any debate about the greatest player in NFL history is incomplete if Jim Brown’s name isn’t included.”
Sadly and ironically, Jim Brown’s passing came on the 60th anniversary of the passing of Ernie Davis. BOTH had their numbers retired by the Browns.

-- He was an all-American at Syracuse in TWO sports. The other sport? Lacrosse.
-- He never NEVER missed a game in his nine-year NFL career with the Cleveland Browns.
-- He led the NFL in rushing yards eight of his nine seasons.

-- He was a Pro Bowler in all nine of his seasons.

-- When he suddenly retired in 1966, he led the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns.
-- He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
-- He was NEVER seen by any Browns trainer in the training room because of injury.
-- There are at least five books about him.
-- After he retired, he starred in at least 52 movies.
-- When the Cleveland Cavaliers won the 2016 NBA title, he was the one who presented the title trophy to Cavalier players in a parade that attracted some 1.3 million people.
