Hayden Hurst to the Panthers. Another one down.
From Paul Dehner
Had the #Bengals big six free agents as:
Jessie Bates (ATL)
Vonn Bell (CAR)
Germaine Pratt (CIN)
Samaje Perine (DEN)
Hayden Hurst (CAR)
Eli Apple
Feels like they are about to go 1 for 6.
This from a team who's core values seem to be keeping their own.

Give me Chauncy Gardner Johnson, Jamaal Williams, and either Dalton Schultz or Mike Gesicki and I will call it a wash, aside from losing Bates who we already knew was going to leave.

Agree.
They keep saying keep your own, keep the core, but they're not. I honestly believe they are afraid of spending any money on contracts due to what they're going to have to pay Burrow. Think Mikey doesn't wanna spend right now alot until he has a true idea of what they'll be out with the Burrow extension.
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

For a team that constantly talks about keeping their own they might want to you know, keep their own.

Cowboys are set to release Ezekiel Elliott today. Another RB to throw into the mix.
He'll be 28 by the time the season starts.
Despite the big name, I would imagine he's not going to be getting too outrageous of contract offers. A one year prove it deal might be perfect for him. He missed 2 games in 2022 and split time with Tony Pollard, but 2021 he still put up some very good numbers. Rushed for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns while catching 47 balls for 287 yards. Again, this was with Tony Pollard getting significant playing time along side him.
He's the same age as Jamaal Williams and only a year older than Mixon, so he's right in the same ballpark of the guys we are working around.

I don't see where Ezekiel Elliot brings anything new to the table that Mixon doesn't already.

Exekiel is a 3 down back and he is also a very good pass protecting back. So yes he does bring much much more to the table then Mixon.
I would also say a 2 year deal on the cheap with a performance based prove you still have it and then draft another guy and we'd be good.

Sure but you'd be wrong.

The Panthers have signed Andy Dalton to a 2-year contract.
Is it fair to now call them copy-cats...?
