Ratbirds signed their RB to massive money. Better surround him with more CBs in the draft tonight
Hopefully we don't play Baltimore in the first three weeks of the season.

Compensation update: Lamar Jackson’s five-year deal is worth $260 million, including $185 million guaranteed, per sources. On an average per year basis, it makes Jackson the NFL’s new highest-paid player.

That is great news. So next few years unless the Browns can put it together the AFC North is the Bengals.

Let Joe Cook @burrow_time
Back to free agency… Some options for the Bengals...

TE2 - Tyler Kroft
3T - Matt Ioannidis
3rd down RB - Ezekiel Elliott
QB2 - Chad Henne

Henne would be a great option behind Burrow. And why not attempt to sign Zeke? Is he wanting alot of money?
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

I haven't heard Tyler Kroft name is long time so looked up what he did after he left the Bengals and it was not much success.

Tyler Kroft was used almost exclusively as a blocking Tight End for the 49ers last year. Kroft played 165 snaps and had a Run Block Grade of 71.2 and a Pass Block grade of 60.0.

If he's coming in, it's going to be in the Drew Sample role with Irv Smith Jr being the main pass catcher at the position.

As for backup, there are better options out there than Chad Henne. Hell, I think we'd have just as much chance competing with Brandon Allen as our QB as we would with Chad Henne and at least Brandon Allen knows our team and our system. Also, Chad Henne retired in Februrary.

I wouldn't mind grabbing somebody like Mason Rudolph. It's always good to bring in somebody who is familiar with the enemy. And while he is by no means a great Quarterback, I feel like we wouldn't automatically lose if he was forced to come in and play a bit with the weapons surrounding him.
