Unreal. I honestly think they want to hear from the hospital that the guy is alive and stable. Could you imagine getting news at halftime that something horrible happened....critical condition, life support, death? This is awful.

Watched the replay a dozen times. He took a shot to the heart and it stopped it. Same thing as getting hit with a baseball or softball. He was out as soon as he stood back up. Plenty of precedent for that type of injury.

The question is did they save him. Just an awful scenario.

I’m told Damar Hamlin has a pulse, but is not breathing on his own. He is being transported to UC.

Needed AED and CPR on the field.

Commotio Cordis....blunt trauma to the heart which stops the heart in the absence of any other damage. Not good at all.

The delay seems to me bizarre, the nfl should be straight on this and make the decision which seemed inevitable to me as soon as the CPR was mentioned
