Okay, so that begs the next question....why doesn't he drop back further?
I believe they want to get the ball out quicker so they don't drop back as far.

Yes, that was my thought as well. I guess they'd rather have the batted balls than the sacks.

This question was brought up in the post game press conference and he stated teams are actually playing for that now. Not really sure how that works honestly but seems like they're trying to focus on that.
I assume that means D-linemen are rushing with their arms or hands up deliberately looking to block the throw.
