He's not wrong....

Just a reminder that the 53-man roster doesn’t matter because it will change almost immediately.

I'm thinking Darrin decides to keep the youth in play with Chrisman and Adomitis and let Huber and Harris ride into the sunset. Harris is likely headed for retirement and Huber will finish his career in Buffalo. If all else is equal, just go with the young guys. Its a good problem to have.

I know they have high hopes for him so I think they will keep him. I would cut him. But thats probably more to do with my frustration with the Bengals hanging on to worthless lineman in the past than it is Carmen. There will be a lot of players hitting the wires today that could immediately do more for this team than Carmen has done. But he knows the system so theres that.

Depends what they do with Smith. The choice should be between those two. According to my sources both have mental limitations, yet both have physical upside. Both were in the same program to start the offseason. Smith, while obviously athletic with good size, was the weakest person (strength-wise) they have ever worked with. When challenged, he made excuses and left the program after 3 weeks. Carman had a lot going on off field and was mentally weak. Described as "weird". Also left the program early.
There is obvious physical traits that are intriguing, and if either can get their heads straight, they may develop. In my opinion, the team only has one spot for a project like that. If available, I would go after Leatherwood and then move on from both Smith and Carman. While he too has struggled, I have been told he has what it takes to get it. Then I would go after another guy that can play C/G.

Chrisman cut
Re: 2022 Camp News & Notes.
I'm happy for Kevin Huber. I mean, to be real, it's not like we are going to be punting this year.
Huber and Harris deserve one more run at a Championship. Chrisman will end up somewhere. Maybe Buffalo.

The #Bengals are keeping four RBs through the cut, as fourth-year back Trayveon Williams has made it, per source.

After strong preseasons, UDFA WRs Kendric Pryor and Kwamie Lassiter both will be let go, but the #Bengals would love to have both on their practice squad.
Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero
The #Bengals waived QB Jake Browning, per source. He's a practice squad candidate.
