Well better in the 3rd round rather then the 2nd or 1st.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:34 amYeah, apparently most draft experts feel this was a major reach. "Junior" Samples 2.0?Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:14 amNot crazy about the Carter pick. Could have gotten him 2 round later.
Not fast, no speed, plays slow. Will not play outside in the NFL with his speed. Will have to be a DT and there were a few good ones left the team could have drafted before him. They were Olinemen at combine who had less 40 times.
Hopefully they at least checked his Police file...
Mel Kiper:
I see defensive tackle Zachary Carter as a backup, not a starter, so the Bengals taking him at No. 95 is a reach. I know they have a need there, but I don't love reaching.

Cordell Volson OT North Dakota
Projected 6th rounder. Seems legit.

I like the pick, he gave up 0 sacks his entire career there and from that I've heard he's very versatile, can play both G or T. I also believe he's played some C in his career as well. He's a very wide body, and looks from what I can see on film like he moves extremely well with that big frame.skycruiser wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 1:39 pmCordell Volson OT North Dakota

Not the best endorsement from Duke regarding Volson. Not sure what's going on with that pick.

Bengals move up in the fifth round in trade with Bears to pick 166. Give up their fifth and seventh.
Take Toledo S Tycen Anderson.
